February 2009 - The specialty Clinic at Northwoods Healthcare in Greenville is pleased to announce the arrival of a new Surgeon. Dr. Michael Drouin will begin seeing
patients on March 3, 2009. Dr. Drouin is a gynecologist and brings an unprecedented level of expertise to the area, while providing local access to
these greatly needed services.

“I have known Mike for 15 years and worked with him at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, for 10 years. He is renowned for his dedication and
compassion towards his patients as well as to his profession. I have worked closely with Dr. Drouin in and outside of the OR and I can say without
reservation that he is one of the more gifted surgeons I have encountered in all my travels,” said Dr. David Rideout, general surgeon at CA Dean.

Dr. Drouin is a graduate of Saint Louis University of Medicine and completed his Ob/Gyn Residency at Brown University. After completing his training, he
opened a practice in Lewiston/Auburn where he has remained until now. In Lewiston, Mike was a leader in Ob/Gyn not only for the surrounding community
but for the state of Maine as well. He developed the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Central Maine Medical Center and led the way in the transition to
Family-oriented childbirth. He performed the first endometrial ablation [an outpatient procedure for heavy periods that has replaced hysterectomy for
many women,] and the first vaginal TVT [a procedure for urinary incontinence in women,] in Maine! Dr. Drouin also established the first infertility
service with Invitro Fertilization capabilities (in association with Boston IVF) in the state of Maine.
