Inland and Champions host Chamber event

Inland Hospital is partnering with Champions Fitness Club to host the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s next Business After Hours event on Wednesday, March 10, at the fitness center. Join us from 5:30 – 7:00 PM to see first hand what Champions’ has to offer at their facility and how Inland is collaborating to offer physical therapy services.

Champions Fitness Club is central Maine's largest multi-recreational fitness center, offering quality facilities, professional staff, innovative and fun programming, and excellent customer service. Champions is family owned and has been operating under the same ownership for more than 25 years. The team at Champions believes a healthy body encourages a healthy outlook on life.

Amenities at Champions’ 50,000 square foot facility include a fully equipped conditioning center, an aerobics area offering multiple group exercise classes, a cycling center, four indoor tennis courts, three racquetball courts, child care services, sauna and locker room facilities.

Champions Fitness Club offers a large variety of equipment in its conditioning area and cardiovascular area. The conditioning area includes both Body Master and Nautilus plate and pin loading equipment and a full array of free weights. In the cardio area, choose from recently purchased treadmills, elliptical machines, stair masters, a variety of bikes and other high tech fat burning machines.

No need to be intimidated at Champions. Every membership comes with initial and ongoing appointments with nationally certified personal trainers. These professionals encourage, motivate, and supervise.

The fitness club offers a variety of strength and group fitness classes numbering over 35 times per week. They also offer instructor-lead group cycling classes. For the most complete fitness center in central Maine, Champions is your premium choice.

Champions also offers a choice of two rooms for banquets of 100-300 person capacity. This is an excellent choice for weddings or anniversaries. And don’t forget, every Friday night is Retro Dance Party at Champion Nightclub!

Champions an Inland team up for physical therapy services

Champions recently teamed up with Inland Hospital to offer one-on-one physical therapy (PT) services on-site at Champions. Services are provided by the experienced team of physical therapists from Inland RehabWorks.

The program offers a continuum of care from the acute stage of an injury to post rehabilitation. With the guidance of a physical therapist, clients gradually work into the main gym area, bringing their rehabilitation to the next level.

"Our new affiliation with Inland provides clients with an alternative to the traditional physical therapy setting - some people are just more comfortable receiving their PT in a fitness setting. We’re happy that the rehab experts from Inland are here to provide a service that complements our fitness environment," says Charlie Giguere, Owner/Manager of Champions.

According to John Dalton, President/CEO of Inland Hospital, "Our RehabWorks team is well known for its outstanding quality of care and high patient satisfaction scores. Providing care in settings outside the hospital offers our community new options for rehabilitation and we are proud to partner with Champions."

RehabWorks at Champions offers flexible scheduling so clients can arrange services before or after work. "It’s a great scenario for successful rehab," notes Sandy Myers, Director of RehabWorks. "One-on-one PT by a skilled, friendly team of professionals – in a motivating, fun environment that connects clients to a wellness lifestyle after rehab."
